About the Program
First Aid Education invites 1 to 4 students from your school to participate in our Host a First Aid Student Work Experience program.
We are seeking confident, community aware students with an interest in Event Marketing, Vocational Education, Health Services to help set up, promote and then participate in a HLTAID003A Provide First Aid course at your school.
Our Host a First Aid course aims to connect Parents, Carers, Students, Teachers and Coaches within the students' community with an essential first aid course.
The benefits to the student/s are substantial and include:
- Insight into the Vocational Education & Training sector and awareness of legal requirements and standards of first aid within the workforce;
- Communication and marketing technology;
- Event marketing skills;
- Community benefit of supporting access to first aid training and the benefits afforded from that;
- Students receive a Certificate of Participation in the Student Work Experience program and a HLTAID003A Provide First Aid certificate.

Program Overview
Step 1: Student Orientation Day
The student attends a one day orientation session at a First Aid Education training centre.
During the course of the day the student will be supervised and introduced to a work environment and participate in the following activities:
- Introduction to the Student Work Experience program by their allocated Supervisor;
- About Vocational Education & Training;
- About First Aid Education and the first aid course;
- Employer and employee obligations of first aid in the workplace;
- Course set up at your school;
- Event marketing overview;
- Marketing activities;
- Confirm date, time and location of first aid course;
- Update course booking website, marketing materials to include selected date, time and course location.
Step 2: Communicate Course
The student to complete the following tasks during their school week:
- Communicate with the school front office for access to school Newsletter, Facebook, Web Application (App);
- Conduct a presentation to the teacher faculty requesting permission to complete a 3-5 minute presentation in each teacher's classroom;
- Publish digital content of course event on school Newsletter, Facebook and Web Application (App), including forum sites;
- Affix posters to the school noticeboards;
- Conduct a presentation to the school assembly and distribute printed flyers;
- Conduct a presentation to each school classroom and distribute printed flyers;
- Liaise with First Aid Education allocated Supervisor to confirm trainer, training dates and enrolment status.
Step 3: First Aid Course Delivery
- Liaise with First Aid Education trainer and Supervisor to confirm training course;
- Participate in the First Aid course and gain a first aid certificate.
Step 4: Student Debrief & Presentation
The student attends a morning tea, program debrief and presentation of certificate of participation at a First Aid Education Training Centre.
*First Aid Education will comply with Work Arrangements and Placements of each State and Territory within Australia.
